Short answer.
Progressive overload is not adding weight every week. It is raising demand steadily through any of its routes — load, reps, sets, density or range of motion — and doing it only when logged performance justifies it. In practice that means checking three things before increasing load: how many reps were left in reserve, how much weekly volume the client has been accumulating, and whether they are recovering between sessions. Steadily increasing training demand so the body keeps adapting. It has several routes: more load, more reps, more sets, shorter rest, or greater range of motion. Adding weight is the best known and is not always the right one.
When logged performance justifies it, not on a fixed schedule. If the client hit every target rep with reps to spare, there is room to increase. If they barely finished, holding the load another week usually produces more adaptation than forcing it.
After each session a client logs, Kaizer recalculates their estimated 1RM from the sets, reps and RIR recorded, and proposes the next session's load and reps. The coach approves every change and sets the minimum increments, so the final call stays theirs.
