Dumbbell Lateral Step-Up

Dumbbell Lateral Step-Up

Stand side-on to a bench or box holding a dumbbell in each hand at your sides, with the box to one side of you. Place the near foot flat on top of the box with your toes pointing forward. Driving through that foot's heel and squeezing the glute, push your body up sideways until you stand tall on the box, bringing the trailing leg up. Step back down under control to the floor, complete your reps, then turn around and work the other side.
