Lateral Step-Up

Lateral Step-Up

Stand side-on to a bench or box with it to one side of you, hands at your hips or chest for balance. Place the near foot flat on top of the box with your toes pointing forward. Driving through that foot's heel and squeezing the glute, push your body up sideways until you stand tall on the box, then bring the trailing leg up. Step back down under control to the floor, finish your reps, then turn around and repeat on the other side.
