Standing Cable Crunch

Set a rope attachment on a high pulley and hold one end against the back of your neck or your forehead while standing facing away or sideways. With your hips fixed, crunch down by flexing your spine and bringing your ribcage toward your pelvis, driving the contraction through your abs rather than your hips. Pause and squeeze at the bottom, then return slowly to upright under control without yanking with your arms. Keep the cable tension on your abs the entire time.
